Quick Start
Get started!
- Go to https://gnss-metadata.eu/site/login
- Type in your Login ID and password
- If your agency has already an account in M3G, then you can find your agency Login ID online, in M3G

, under the columnUnique agency ID
. - If your agency is not in the list, then go to "How to obtain a M3G account? "
- Go to https://gnss-metadata.eu/site/login
- Type in your Login ID and then click on "Reset Password"
- All contacts designated by your agency (set up in your
My Agency
form) will get an email with a link to reset the password. - Click on the link and chose a new password.
Quick Start
- Go to https://gnss-metadata.eu/site/login
- Log in to M3G using your Login ID and password.
First, provide the information regarding your agency: go to the agency-specific tab
(top right in the menu) and click on My Agency
. Then:
- Fill in the information in all mandatory fields (marked with *)
- Enter all contact persons present in your site logs
- (optional, but recommended) Add a public central contact email, which does not contain any personal information
Third-party Agenciesand follow the steps above, as you did for the information regarding your agency.
- Go to the agency-specific tab (top right in the menu) and click on
Managed Networks
- Use to create a new local or national network if the network is not in the list. Make sure you do not try
to set up a network that is already defined in M3G. In the main menu,
Networks
lists all networks already set up in M3G. Each network must have a unique abbreviation.
- Go to the agency-specific tab (top right in the menu) and click on ”New Station”
- Follow the on-line help
- Propose your station to at least one network.
- It is recommended to propose your station to your local/national network.
- Remark: M3G will automatically label a new station as "proposed" or "included" in international networks after consultation with the network coordinators of the international networks.
- Click on “Manage Site Logs” in the agency-specific tab (top right in the menu)
- Click on the icon from the data base in the “Export/import information” column (If the station is not in the list, follow the steps in 4. Set up/add a new station
- Validate, iterate if necessary and save.
- Go to the agency-specific tab (top right in the menu) and click on
Manage Site Logs
- Click on the icon in the
Export/import information
column to upload the site log from your local disk - Validate, iterate if necessary and save.
- After submitting the site log, all contact persons (except if central public emails are used) mentioned in the site log will receive an email with
subject
[M3G][REQUEST] Publication of your personal data
. As soon as the person has replied to this email (by clicking on one of the links inside the email), he/she will stop receiving this kind of emails. - M3G also has a feature that enables you to save a site log as draft.
M3G offers some of its functionalities through a RESTful HTTP API that allows you to interact with M3G purely as data that can be uploaded, accessed, searched for, etc. via HTTP requests.
At present, M3G allows you to retrieve info on a given M3G entry (i.e. a network, a station), update part of a station site log or ask a
query to locate many M3G entries at the same time.
